This poster will highlight the collaborative effort of three librarians; one university, one upper/middle school, and one lower school, as they have joined forces to create information literacy materials to follow students throughout their school career. By working with an established learning object, created by the university librarian, the librarians were able to adapt it from the college and university environment to work for students at all levels. Their combined years working with their respective audiences helped to inform how the ACRL’s Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education could be modified to be introduced to students at different stages in their information-seeking careers. This poster will highlight the new learning objects created for students at different levels and show how the librarians tailored the ACRL’s Framework to fit the needs of students at in their K-12 careers. The goal of this collaboration was to introduce and familiarize students to a research structure that they will be able to utilize from a young age. It is hoped that increased exposure to the familiar learning objects will help students become more prepared for higher level research and critical engagement and thinking.
