Program
The greatest stories mirror our own lives, provide windows into lives we've never lived and let us travel the world through our imagination. The ALA Great Stories Club is a literature based reading and discussion program that gives underserved youth opportunities to read, reflect, and engage with topics that resonate with them. Through the Great Stories Club Truth Racial Healing and Transformation project (TRHT), your library can bring thought-provoking book clubs and racial healing circles to youth in your community. In this session, you'll learn about the ALA GSC Grant - from application to proposal to community impact. Current grant recipients and ALA program directors will discuss implementation ideas and help you identify community partners. Investigate how this life-changing book club grant could fit into teen services at your library.
