Annual Conference Session
The Cataloging Committee is crowd sourcing editing of the Cataloging Toolboxes for federal, international, and state and local government documents, in progress as GODORT LibGuides. Everyone is welcome to be part of the Committee's “Working Group on Cataloging Toolboxes” whose members edit and improve our guides. Volunteers are encouraged to attend our meetings or contact the chair.
At the Annual conference meeting, the Cataloging Committee will hear a report from the U.S. Government Publishing Office, Library Services & Content Management on cataloging and classification and provide feedback. We will also hear and discuss reports from vendors that distribute bibliographic records for government documents and from other institutions and partnerships involved in metadata creation and enhancement for government information.
