Gain social media insight from Linnea Hegarty, director of strategic partnerships for D.C. Public Library. Linnea will offer up the lessons she learned from managing #UncensoredDC, the Library’s successful online scavenger hunt celebrating Banned Books Week. She will also discuss how social media can be used effectively in fundraising efforts to increase awareness and engagement. Additionally, Stephanie Hlywak, director of ALA’s Communications and Marketing Office, will provide an overview of social media strategies that all types of libraries can use in their marketing, advocacy, fundraising and outreach efforts.
