Annual Conference Session
The Digital Public Library of America has launched services to help libraries deploy the National Digital Platform for Library e-content service that has been funded largely by the IMLS and has now been built and sponsored by the New York Public Library with contributions. IMLS and has now been built and sponsored by the New York Public Library with contributions from Minitex, Amigos, Califa, DPLA and others and has been deployed by dozens of libraries. This session will give a brief overview of the platform including it's components, the DPLA Exchange content marketplace, the Library Simplified content management tool for library staff and the SimplyE mobile app suit and web catalog for serving content to patrons. The bulk of this session will be dedicated to case studies of the libraries who have deployed with DPLA. They will share their experiences, lessons learned, and intended direction going forward.
