Program
Houston and Queens Public Libraries offer the innovative financial well-being program Ready, Set, Bank in partnership with Capital One to meet the significant demand for senior digital training and financial well-being classes at public libraries. Participants learn how to navigate the online world of banking. Throughout the 4- to 8-week sessions, participants receive hands-on demonstrations, video tutorials, and answers to questions about safeguarding personal information online, along with step-by-step guidance on how to manage a bank account on a computer or mobile device. The turnkey non-branded training also includes curriculum in Spanish (Listos, Clic, Avance) and instructor guides. The program shows what is possible when public and private partners work together to address and advance community priorities.
