As the library social worker position evolves, libraries have plenty of questions ranging from social work methodology, to management, to actual practice. A panel of public library social workers will provide an overview of trauma-informed, person-centered service to library patrons experiencing life challenges, including scenarios and appropriate responses. After this overview, the session will focus on answering your questions and will take a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach that emphasizes the importance of compassion in all aspects of library services.
