Jean Duncan McFarren, Collection Services Director, Cleveland Public Library
Jean leads with a true passion for libraries and the impact they can have in a community. Having dedicated her career to helping patrons access the information they need to improve their lives, Jean knows the value of those connections. She is determined to make sure that all communities have smart libraries that work for them.
A graduate of Walsh University, Jean received her master’s degree in Library Science from Kent State University. Jean has worked as a reference librarian and library administrator in both Stark and Summit Counties. She is a graduate of Leadership Stark County’s Signature Program and Government Academy and was selected for the 2014 American Library Association Leadership Institute and the 2017 Public Library Association’s Leadership Academy.
