A.J. Million is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan’s iSchool. His research pertains to the administration and development of public and nonprofit information resources. Currently, A.J. is studying grassroots civic engagement and social media as part of a National Science Foundation research grant. In 2017, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, where his dissertation examined the relationship between bureaucratic organization and innovation in state department of transportation websites. He has published journal articles appearing in Cataloging and Classification Quarterly, the Journal of Library Administration, and OCLC Systems and Services. He also holds an M.A. in Library & Information Science from the University of Missouri and a B.A. in History from Drury University. Aside from these academic qualifications, A.J. possesses political organizing and nonprofit volunteer experience. He can be reached at millioaj@umich.edu.
