must have the courage to change old ideas and practices, so that we may direct their power toward good ends.” In our
current educational system and in today’s climate, how do educators continue to foster Black Excellence? How do
we develop and attain achievement while navigating the obstacles of implicit bias and micro aggressions? Rep. Jahana Hayes will moderate a panel that includes Kelly Harper, 2019 District of Columbia Teacher of the Year; Rodney Robinson, 2019 National Teacher of the Year; and David Johns, Executive Director of the National Black Justice Coalition.
