Dr. Bruce Jones, Vice President for Research at Howard University, holds more than 25 years of academic and administrative experience in higher education and the nonprofit sector. At the University of Houston he was Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Interim Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School. He has held two endowed chair professorships; one with the University of Missouri and another with the University of South Florida, where he grew an external grant portfolio from an estimated $625,000 to more than $30 million. He holds a Ph.D in Political Science from Columbia University.
