Panama Jackson is a professional black person and the co-founder and current Senior Editor of Very Smart Brothas via The Root, a website dedicated to generating discussion around race, pop culture, relationships and general Blackness. He's been a featured speaker at universities, on radio and television on various topics including hip-hop, Black representation in media, race relations, and criminal justice and Oprah even called him once. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehouse College in Economics and a Master's degree in public policy from the University of Maryland-College Park. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his family.
