Dr. Johnson received his B.S. in Urban Forestry from Southern University and A&M College; Baton Rouge, La. and both his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Science from the Pennsylvania State University; University Park, Pa. He served as a Professor in Urban Forestry for 13 years at Southern University before becoming the Director of Research at Alcorn State University’s School of Agriculture. He currently serves as Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology Development at Southern University Agricultural Center in Baton Rouge, La. He is a graduate of the John Maxwell Leadership Team and LEAD 21: Leadership for the 21st Century.
