Dr. Cathy Piersol is professor and chair in the Department of Occupational at Thomas Jefferson University. She is a licensed occupational therapist, educator, and researcher specializing in the implementation of person-environment approaches to promote activity engagement and quality of life for elders and caregivers. Her work centers on optimizing performance and participation in people living with dementia and building skills in those that provide care and support. Dr. Piersol has co-authored two books focusing on dementia care. She is the Director of Jefferson Elder Care, a program focused on the implementation of evidence-based service and training.
