Patient safety is a global concern. China has the largest population in the world. Affected by various aspects such as geography, economy, medical, and human resources, the management level of nursing care in large-scale hospitals in China, where patients are mostly concentrated, are relatively advanced. How do we reduce the waiting time before surgery, and shorten the average hospital stay? How do we improve the efficiency of operating while ensuring the safety of surgical patients? How do we play the leading role of the excellent OR management team and promote the homogenization of OR nursing level in all regions? These are the issues of concern to Chinese nursing development in recent years. We will focus on five points to discuss and share Chinese nursing management experience: safety management of rapid turnover of surgical patients, surgical safety check (tripartite verification), inventory of surgical items, construction of safety culture in OR from the perspective of adverse events, and construction of a shared OR care team.
