An overview of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes will be shared, as well as the differences that exist between them. Sometimes these tools get used inappropriately or are thought to be interchangeable. Each tool has a specific purpose and can lead to very positive and sustainable outcomes if used appropriately. Examples will be provided on how to finish processes that demonstrate the value of completing these items. Details on how to achieve positive outcomes with long-term results using these tools will be demonstrated.
