Heidi L. Nanavati, MSN, CRNP, CNOR, has worked as a CRNP and registered nurse first assistant for the past 12 years, and an OR nurse for an additional six years previously. As an NP, she has worked in plastics and orthopedics seeing patients in the office, first assisting in the OR, and providing patient care on the floor. She currently works as an NP/RNFA at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Within AORN, she has served on the RNFA specialty assembly for the past five years writing for the RNFA Core Curriculum and chairing the task force to rewrite the position statements for Advanced Practice RN's in the OR. She served as the communications chair from 2015-2017 and overall chair of the RNFA Specialty Assembly coordinating council 2016-2017. Heidi is very active in her local chapter, AORN of Baltimore Chapter 2101, and has just concluded serving her second year as president. She is honored and looking forward to now serving nationally on the 2018-2020 AORN Nominating Committee. No conflict.
