Mr. Durkee is a retired Army Nurse with over 29 years of combined active duty, US Army Reserve, and government civilian service. He spent time working in the Managed Care Division at Tripler Army Medical Center from 2001-2003 as the Chief of the decision science & customer support branches. From 2005-2008 Mr. Durkee was the MEDCOM Patient Safety Program Manager. After retiring from active duty in 2009 he spent over four years working as a full time surveyor with The Joint Commission. He returned to MEDCOM in January 2016 after leaving the Joint Commission and began working as a Decision Science Analyst in the Plans, Analysis & Evaluation directorate. Mr. Durkee is very familiar with process and outcome measures of quality. Mr. Durkee then began working for Vizient as an Accreditation Advisor in August of 2018. No conflict.
