Researchers will share the results of study of a diverse collection of 284 health care facilities and 15,443 perioperative RNs. Multilevel mixed regression models were fit to each work environment dimension, and included individual perioperative certification variables (CAPA, CPAN, CNOR/CRNFA), nurse education, perioperative unit types (OR, Pre-/Post-Op, ASC), and hospital characteristics as predictors. The differences in ratings between nurses holding these various credentials and in different perioperative work areas will be examined, as will the effect of American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet accreditation program (ANCC Magnet) status.
