Damage Control Surgery is a modality used to manage intra-abdominal trauma from the initial OR procedure, transfer to the ICU for stabilization, and the return to the OR for definitive operative management. This discussion will highlight the process of damage control surgery and methods to adequately prepare for this challenging trauma.
