AP Capstone is a new diploma program offered in over 1,700 schools globally and is now taking applications for schools interested in implementation beginning in 2020-21. AP Capstone is built around two courses – AP Seminar and AP Research – which are skills-based and content agnostic. Students in AP Seminar and AP Research are taught research, critical thinking, collaboration and presentation skills and then have the freedom to apply these skills on projects of their choosing. Only schools admitted into the AP Capstone program can offer AP Seminar, AP Research and a path for students to earn the AP Capstone Diploma.
