All students should have access to rigorous and accelerated instruction in their schools. To support this belief, the GaDOE has implemented statewide initiatives such as Regional AP Workshops that provide professional development for teachers which allows for more accelerated instruction in schools. We will share the steps and processes that have resulted in AP growth and student success across the state. These easy to replicate initiatives can be implemented on a very limited budget. Learn about our Rural Initiative developed to promote the AP program in schools that have traditionally offered few or no AP courses as well as information about our AP Training Grants. Join colleagues in an interactive discussion focused on best practices and strategies to increase growth of student participation in more challenging coursework in middle and high school levels.
