For many programs, the desire to run AP classes with students who would not have been ordinarily identified is a deeply rooted one. In this session, we will go through a system of supports that allows these students to experience success, all while allowing the teacher to manage the additional obstacles in a reasonable way. We will give the audience the perspective of two administrators and a teacher to examine the best practices in student supports for an AP program. This system has been successful at creating AP programs where students can pass the AP test and manage the demands of the academic rigor expected of them.
