The purpose of the session is to make the teaching of constitutional literacy more engaging, dynamic, and relevant for students and less intimidating, stressful, and "political" for teachers. To do this, the session will present and model multiple classroom applications for a series of nonpartisan, online teaching tools created by the National Constitution Center. Participants will be able to implement the use of these tools and pedagogical techniques immediately upon returning to their classrooms to better enrich learning about the Constitution. The central focus will be the Interactive Constitution--now part of AP US History, US Government and Politics, Comparative Government, and English frameworks, lesson plans, and other resources.
