Join a team of master teachers with diverse backgrounds and student populations as they share their proven strategies for teaching both course content and skills. These teachers are featured in the AP U.S. Government and Politics Teaching and Assessing Series, which demonstrates several ways to teach content and skills, including using Federalist No. 10 to practice source analysis, presidential and congressional behavior to show concept application, and more. The master teachers will share their resources, common student misunderstandings they worked to overcome, and how these specific lessons are simply one part in an overall course plan that includes spiraling content (for student understanding) and scaffolding skills (so that students gain and build confidence over time).
