AP Annual Conference Submission
AP boot camp is an innovative training sequence aimed at building advanced teacher content knowledge through collaborative learning and the creation of instructional videos. This session provides a blueprint for executing a district-lead training sequence for teachers to build their own content knowledge and support advanced student learning and differentiation. Developed at IDEA Public Schools to support a growing AP for All program, AP boot camp provides an opportunity for teachers to learn and apply advanced AP content by working with content experts. At the conclusion of the sequence, teachers apply their knowledge to create instructional videos focused on building a conceptual understanding of a foundational unit of study. Through this boot camp approach, a district can advance teacher effectiveness while building an instructional video library. Participants will receive resources for developing and implementing their own training sequence.
