This interactive workshop will spark fresh approaches to design thinking through engaging strategies, hands-on activities, collective insights, and feedback. Design thinking is a verified and repeatable problem-solving methodology that anyone can employ to achieve creative results and generate divergent ideas. This design process begins with defining the problem, and then moves to researching, ideating, creating, and evaluating. Educators will obtain an edgy perspective that will amplify their imagination and propel them towards valiant new ideas through practice, examples, and discussions. Strengthening imaginative problem-solving requires practice, experimenting, risk-taking, and reaching beyond the edge of one’s comfort zone. Heightening their design thinking skills will empower educators to arouse verve in their own work and in their AP Studio Art student’s portfolios.
