Rigor has become a buzzword for many. It is now often equated with more work and more reading in an English Literature course - but that is not what Higher Education professionals (professors, instructors, etc.) see as rigor. Presented by an AP Lit committee member & co-author of MLA's report on the changing English major, this session will address some common approaches to rigor in the high school classroom that are not necessarily college level teaching.
