The Topic Outline for the AP Computer Science-A course is being replaced by a fully articulated Curriculum Framework. The articulation done to develop this framework captures what is in the existing course and presents the content in an Understanding by Design(UbD) structure. The articulation process has also lead to the creation of a suite of teacher and student resources that work together with clear and explicit details about the content. Participants will be given the framework with detailed descriptions of the purpose and content of the four Big Ideas including the Enduring Understandings, Learning Objectives and Essential Knowledge in each Big Idea, as well as the Computational Thinking Practices (skills) assessed in this course. Participants will learn how multiple choice questions and free response rubric points are aligned to both the content and skills of the course.
