This session will introduce the skill of argumentation to participants and discuss the new task model on the AP Art History exam, Question 2. We will walk through a Free Response Question from a released AP exam and see how it can be rewritten to highlight the skill of argument. The session will also explain what complexity and nuance mean and will examine the new art history skills as they relate to this new question type. Participants will explore the scoring rubric for the Q2 argument question and will gain a better understanding of how each of the points for this long essay question can be earned. Participants also will be encouraged to write their own question during the session.
