AP Annual Conference Submission
Unpacking the AP Chemistry learning objectives can be a daunting task for new teachers and seasoned veterans alike. In our quest to increase accessibility to AP Chemistry, it is essential to maintain the integrity of the course, as these goals are not mutually exclusive. This session will highlight the merits of cultivating collaborative partnerships as a means to drive effective instruction that targets specific learning objectives for diverse student populations. These partnerships are different from the large social media groups where individuals may be overshadowed by a vocal few; instead, our “AP ChemPal” partnerships facilitate support for you to ask in-depth questions, to share the workload of planning, and to assess and refine your own teaching strategies. This session will provide you with the tools to construct your own partnerships, regardless of your student population or geographic location.
