Participants will learn a strategy for inspiring students to regularly connect with authentic resources outside the classroom, also relating to daily classroom work and assignments. This session will provide teachers with a ready made project that guide students to grow in language skills, interculturality, and vocabulary acquisition. When it comes to authentic resources, more is better, as students need a plethora of experiences to build language skills, explore various target language and culture communities, and communicate new vocabulary as they evaluation or analyze each source in their own words. I will explain the project step by step, engage teachers to role play and collaborate for application, and provide student examples with follow up activities. Teachers will leave with tools to capitalize on the power of the interpretive mode while also leading to natural paths for both presentational and interpersonal communication.
