Teachers will be first introduced to the science behind brain breaks and why movement is so important for brain growth and cognitive retention. We will proceed with as many examples of brain breaks as time allows. We will discuss the importance of using the right brain break for each unique situation: high energy, calming energy, content-specific. Language teachers will also be able to see how easy it is to use math brain breaks. Teachers will go home with examples they can implement immediately in the classroom. We will also discuss how easy it is to tweak brain breaks to respond to the specific needs of our learners.
