This session is perfect for both beginning AP Biology and AP Statistics teachers. We will focus on the integration of concepts embedded in both of the above said curricula. Based on data received from previous AP Instructional Planning Reports, we noticed a content area in which our students were not where they should be based on the Global mean. We also noticed that the content area lacking happened to overlap in both of our classes. We collaborated on the idea of running labs based on overlapping data together, and having our students work together. In this session, we will execute both a goodness of fit lab and calculate the Chi Square test statistic, and we will go over how to interpret graphical representations. We will illustrate, through data, that since working together, we have improved both of our testing averages.
