Spanish Literature and Culture
AP Annual Conference Submission
Prudence Sloderbeck
Spanish V Teacher
Maclay School
Perhaps the greatest challenge of AP Spanish Language and Culture is achieving a balanced exercise of the four language skills. This juggling act creates stress for the AP instructor. The teacher must begin the year with a balanced curriculum, have the discipline to adhere to it, and the wisdom to adjust when necessary in a way that remains true to the concept of balance. Participants will create a weekly course agenda that provides adequate attention to each skill and establishes balance when applied to the instructor’s own AP curriculum.
