AP Annual Conference Submission
In this session we will explore how students focused on an idea for their sustained investigation and created a mini series of four artworks for that idea. We will look at how creating the mini-series can help the students see the development of the idea in a shorter time frame. Teachers will be able to evaluate the students’ exploration of their idea quicker, because of the size of the series. We will look at how students learned how to critique the series in a gallery walk style critique. Lastly we will discuss some of the challenges and ah-ha moments the students experienced through these projects. Participants will begin to create their own mini-series during the workshop.
