AP Annual Conference Submission
In this session, participants will learn a strategy to help students analyze difficult texts by drawing on their knowledge of synonyms and by providing students with an approachable method for making inferences. The framework presented can be applied to a wide variety of texts that can be made accessible to students with varying abilities as English speakers and writers. During the session, presenters will model how to use the strategy and framework using a primary historical text. Participants will have the opportunity to use the strategy in small groups with a provided document before creating their own document for use in their classrooms.
