AP Annual Conference Submission
Reflecting on and revising their writing, thinking, and creative processes is a key learning objective for students in AP Seminar. Through the use of structured self edits and peer reviews, teachers can guide students through this process during the two through-course Performance Assessment Tasks. This session will provide participants with classroom-ready lessons to facilitate meaningful reflection on and revision to both the Individual Research Report and Individual Written Argument. Topics will include activities to engage students in focused evaluation of classmates’ work, including a framework for constructive comments and peer feedback, as well as the challenge of asking students to review their own work with a critical eye. Participants will identify ways to bring task-specific, rubric-based, reflection activities to their own AP Seminar classes.
