This presentation will focus on methods of practicing skills necessary to master the Document Based Question section of an AP History exam which have been created by a College Board AP US History Reader. While the methods presented can be used for any AP History course; the content on the presentation will focus on AP US History. The participants will learn an easy to implement game used to practice all parts of the DBQ including thesis statements as well as extended analysis; two areas in which students tend to struggle the most. The games and resources aim to give teachers a way to have students constantly practice these required skills without assigning and grading hundreds of essays. Teachers will be provided a link to access resources.
