Lead Research Associate - Surgery
Western Connecticut Health Network
Stephanie Stroever is a certified Infection Preventionist and is currently a doctoral candidate at UTHealth School of Public Health in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences. She has experience managing infection control programs for both large and small acute care hospitals. She has utilized epidemiological principles for surveillance of healthcare-associated infections, as well as important health promotion strategies and policy management skills to encourage and maintain best practices. She has participated in research activities resulting in publication at American Journal of Infection Control, Preventing Chronic Diseases, and American Journal of Microbiology. Additionally, her work has been featured at speaking engagements at national conferences, including APIC 2015 and 2017 Annual Conferences. She brings a fresh, albeit somewhat quirky, approach to promotion of health concepts, and finds the most rewarding moments of her career are from sharing her knowledge in a meaningful way that resulted in positive patient outcomes.
