Melissa Rochon is Quality & Safety Lead for Surveillance at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. Over the years, she has received a number of national awards for her work to improve patient safety and reduce surgical site infection (SSI) following cardiac surgery. Her current projects include the Photo at Discharge (PaD) scheme and WoundCare1 (e-care plans and reporting for acute and community settings). She is on the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) SSI update committee and working towards an MSc in Improvement and Implementation Science, King’s College London.
