Amber Conrad, RN,BSN, is the Infection Prevention Specialist at a Parkland Health Center, a rural community hospital in Farmington, Missouri. She has 17 years of experience as a registered nurse, a majority of the years in Critical Care, and for the past four years in Infection Prevention. In her IP role, she has gained extensive knowledge in the IP standards, and has led hospital-wide efforts to improve infection prevention practices. She enjoys teaching and empowering staff on how to protect themselves and the patients in all areas of infection prevention.
