Evelyn Cook, RN, CIC is currently the Associate Director of Statewide Program for Infection Control and Epidemiology (SPICE) at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She is a principle lecturer at all SPICE infection prevention and control courses and provides consultation to all North Carolina healthcare facilities on issues related to infection prevention and control.
Evelyn provides oversight for North Carolina’s Infection Control Assessment and Response (ICAR) activities including education and assessments in acute care, long-term care, outpatient, and dialysis settings.
She has collaborated with and assisted the North Carolina Division of Public Health with outbreak investigations in long-term care and outpatient facilities.
