Andre N.H. Bulabula, from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), graduated as a Medical Doctor (MD) at the Catholic University of Bukavu in DRC (2012) and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Epidemiology of Stellenbosch University in South Africa (2015), where he is completing a PhD in Public Health (majoring in Infection Prevention and Control). As a researcher he is interested in Infectious Diseases Epidemiology as well as Infection Prevention and Control, including Modelling of Infectious Diseases (RSA 2014, USA 2015) and Antimicrobial Resistance. He is an active board member of the Infection Control Africa Network – ICAN, where he works as the Distance Learning Coordinator. He is one of the ISID’s Emerging Leaders in International Infectious Diseases (2016 - 2020).
