Laura Rose is an Environmental Microbiologist in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at CDC. Her research interests include investigating the persistence of pathogens in indoor environments and optimizing sampling methods and strategies. Past efforts included developing standardized sampling and sample processing methods for Bacillus anthracis for use after a biothreat event. Her current work is focused on antimicrobial resistant organisms associated with healthcare-associated outbreaks.
