Medical Director Infection Prevention
Indiana University Health
I am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Indiana University. I graduated medical school from the American University of Beirut and then joined Indiana University for Internal Medicine residency in 2011. I completed my fellowship training in Infectious Diseases in 2016, when I served as Chief Fellow in Infectious Diseases. I am currently the Medical Director for Infection Prevention at Indiana University Health. I am passionate about redesigning healthcare systems to make them safe, highly reliable, and engaging for patients. My research focuses on the role of human factors engineering in improving system design for patient safety and on co-producing solutions with patients.
