What can extreme sports, hip-hop music, graffiti, and other culturally fringe elements teach us about resilience and landscape architecture? It turns out, plenty. This discussion centers around subculture— identifying how it can be integral to professional diversity while offering unique perspectives on process, public spaces, and creating change.

Learning Objectives:

• Gain an understanding of the external influences on landscape architecture and why those matter in designing public spaces.
