Cultural institutions are undergoing shifts in their demographics and engagement. How can diverse landscape assets positively inform a constituency that offers greater financial stability as museum attendance is lessening and desire for “experience” increasing? An organizational psychologist, museum COO, and landscape architect make cultural artifacts relevant in the context of modern engagement.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand how audience segmentation analysis can/should focus and inform plans for cultural institutions and other engaged landscapes.
• Understand how cultural institutions can broaden their appeal, constituency, and membership through socially purposeful landscape intervention.
