Dr. Marissa Burgermaster is joint appointed to the faculties of Nutritional Sciences and Population Health at University of Texas at Austin, where she studies how digital technologies and personal data can support people in adopting a healthy diet to prevent and manage chronic disease. Dr. Burgermaster specifically focuses on improving nutrition interventions for children and adults from racial/ethnic minorities and low income households. She holds a PhD in Behavioral Nutrition and a postdoctoral MA in biomedical informatics from Columbia University.
