Dr. Yafi is Assistant Professor of Urology, Chief of Andrology and Director of Men’s Health at the University of California Irvine. His practice is specialized in men’s health, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, Peyronie’s disease, prosthetic surgery, male voiding dysfunction and male infertility.
Dr. Yafi earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut. He then served his internship in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and subsequently completed his residency in Urology at McGill University in Montreal, QC. He then completed a fellowship in Andrology, Sexual Medicine and Prosthetic Urology at Tulane University. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Yafi has written more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, has been an invited speaker to multiple national and international venues, and has received multiple national and international awards and recognitions.
Dr. Yafi serves on numerous national and international society committees as both Member and Chair. With the Société Internationale d’Urologie, he serves as a member of the SIU Academy Governance Committee. With the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, he serves as Middle East liaison and a member of the Industry Relations and the Fellowship and Residency Education committees. With the International Society for Sexual Medicine, he serves as chair of the Grants and Prizes committee and member of the Finance and Audit Committee. He also serves on the board of directors of the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons.
Dr. Yafi is the director of the International Advanced Male Prosthetics course held yearly at UCI, is part of the course faculty for a male prosthetic course co-organized by UCSD, UCI and UCLA and was the chair of the penile prosthetic course at the upcoming Société Internationale d’Urologie congress in Korea.
